7. Chalet Le Chardon, Val d Isere

6. White Pearl, Zermatt
Chalet White Pearl enjoys a peaceful location in the exclusive Winkelmatten enclave of this famous Swiss ski resort. Fully ski-in, ski-out, it makes a great choice for snowsports enthusiasts who don’t want to miss a minute of piste action. Accommodation is great for families, thanks to the flexible room arrangements.
Two enormous Master Suites occupy the top floor, with the unique selling point of a Matterhorn view from the balcony – the iconic Zermatt photograph. Almost every aspect of this chalet is superlative: where lesser properties have a sauna or hot-tub, this one has a leisure suite that occupies an entire floor and features a swimming pool, hammams, sauna and a room for spa treatments – perfect for when the weather takes a turn for the worse or you just want to relax into the soothing embrace of steam at the end of the day.
And then there’s the food – cuisine that would suit a 5* hotel is in everyday supply at White Pearl. It’s not just gourmet dinners, either: the chefs are masters of detail in everything from your morning coffee to champagne apéro hour and afternoon tea.

5. The Lodge, Verbier
The Lodge is renowned as one of the most exclusive properties in Verbier even by the high benchmark of a resort that’s a favourite with many royal visitors. Known as a high-end destination for serious skiers, Verbier has great nightlife, incredible powder and a season that extends from November to May.
The Lodge sleeps up to 18 people, with the choicest accommodation in two Master suites. These offer striking centrepiece fireplaces, private balconies to enjoy a minute of peace and enormous bath-tubs.
To get over the aches and pains of a day on the slopes, or because the weather takes a turn for the worse, guests have a stellar spa that includes an in-door heated swimming pool, steam room, jacuzzis inside AND out, and even a mini-ice rink.

4. Chalet Titania, Megeve
Chalet Titania is a by-word for superlatives. Designed and constructed to the highest specifications, this huge ski lodge offers an unparalleled standard of accommodation that stretches over 7 floors.

3. Le Petit Palais, Courchevel
Like its name suggests, Le Petit Palais is a lavish chalet property in one of the most exclusive areas of Courchevel 1850. Designed for stylish sophisticates who want to be pampered even if they’re nowhere near the big city, the chalet is modern and comes with the services of a slick team of staff who are experts in the art of hospitality.
The property is fully ski-in, ski-out and leads directly onto Courchevel’s legendary winter playground and guests can drink in wonderful views from the property’s balconies and terraces. Meanwhile, the spa extends over a whole floor: home not just to the usual sauna and steamroom but also a swimming pool, fitness room, beauty salon and a massage room among other 5* facilities.
There are plenty more fabulous things to discover in Le Petit Palais – it extends over 6 floors and occupies 1500 sqm floor space. Some of our favourites are the in-house night club, the poker room and the enormous master suite with its emperor size bed. You’ll be hard pushed to think of reasons to leave.

2. Chalet Aurelio, Lech
Located in Lech, an Austrian resort prized for its long season and snow-sure conditions, the Aurelio Chalet / Villa is one of the most fabulous in the Alps. Available to rent on an exclusive basis or as separate apartments, the villa can sleep 16 people in unmatchable comfort and style.
Separated from the main hotel building, the chalet facilities include a private spa and the services of a private chef and butler. The accommodation is beautifully thought out: contemporary elegance is the name of the game, but respect is paid to alpine heritage through the use of warm natural materials.

1. Chalet Edelweiss, Courchevel
And the winner is...The absolute pinnacle of achievement in the luxury chalets has to be Chalet Edelweiss, an out-of-this-world rental that offers full ski-in ski-out access to the resort’s Bellecote piste. Absolutely everything you could dream of is available at the chalet, which is also looked after by an exceptional team of staff.
Edelweiss can sleep 16 and the accommodation includes two master suites of 100m² each; the chalet extends over 6 floors and offers panoramic views of the snow at every turn. What really makes Edelweiss stand out is the amazing facilities: these include the obligatory swimming pool, hot tub and saunas although extra details like a cascading waterfall ensure that the entire spa floor is truly out of the ordinary.
Finally, clients who want après-ski that’s as good as the ski will be delighted with a party floor that includes a DJ booth, dance floor and bar. There is also be a state of the art private cinema room found on this level, as well as a library. people, so you can invite all your friends to enjoy an apéro or an entire night without having to leave the house at all.
How much? An eye-watering €550,000 per week. Ouch.
