Hamleys Toy Shop started life in 1760 in a small store on High Holborne and the selection of toys and games proved so popular that a new branch was opened on Regent Street in 1881.The store survived difficult times through two world wars and the Great Depression and it moved to its current location in 1981.
Over 250 years since its foundation, the current store is an emporium of wonder for all children and their parents too.
Spread over seven floors, it is the closest you can get to walking into Santa’s workshop without going to the North Pole!

Although it’s enchanting all year round, the London store is at its best come Christmas and every December it plays host to a very special guest.Join Santa and his elves at the special “I Met Father Christmas Event”, running every day from the beginning of December until Christmas Eve.
Your little ones will enjoy a meal with Santa’s other guests, some Christmas activities and a personal chat with Santa himself.
And to top of a magical experience, all of Santa’s guests will receive a special gift to keep as reminder of their trip to this fairytale store.
