Plenty of space means that it never feels crowded, even during high season, and the beach facilities and restaurants are truly excellent. Adults can even enjoy a Thai massage while the kids play in the golden sand.Top tip: Very few buses go to the beach, so it is worthwhile driving or taking a taxi from Mykonos town, 10km away.
3. Easy escape: Agios Stefanos
Located just north of Troulos, this small beach resort is nevertheless quite calm most of the season, unlike the more popular beaches to the South. The protected cove makes for calm, turquoise water, and there are a few small cafés and beach restaurants to sate any appetite. This is an ideal escape for those not looking to go far.Top tip: If you are feeling very organised, head down early to the harbour and buy fresh fish off the boats to grill up for lunch.
4. Sports shores: Kalafatis
For anyone looking for adventure and excitement, this is the beach for you. 5. Secluded sands: Agios Ioannis
