Located in South Kensington – a short walk away from the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park – MPW London is perfect for intellectually curious students.
The college’s bespoke approach to academics and small classes (usually 6 – 8 students per class) ensure individual attention and personal growth. Students are constantly supported by Directors of Studies who monitor their progress and offer university guidance from as early as their first year of A Levels. Students also have access to a specialist medical preparation programme and in-depth courses on how to get onto some of the most competitive universities in the country.
Field trips are often organised to support their education outside the classroom. Students go to see plays in London to help them understand a book or play analysed in class for their A Level or GCSE, or travel to historical places like the Roman baths in Bath to experience history, or to the Parliament to talk about public service and politics.
Unlike in other sixth form colleges, a great deal of focus is put on exam technique and students often undergo mock exams to help them cope with pressure and stressful situations. As a result MPW London students pass their A Level and/or GCSE exam with flying colours and are often recipients of the prestigious CIFE Award, presented every year at the House of Lords.
The modern facilities are second to none. There are 6 sciences, 5 arts studio and specialised rooms for Music, Film Studies and Modern Languages. Several sport clubs allow students to stay healthy and practise a wide variety of sports. A professional gym located near the college can also be accessed free of charge.
International students can choose to be accommodated in supervised student residences, studios and multiple occupancy flats, or with host families carefully selected by the college.
