Location:
Collège Alpin International Beau Soleil was founded back in 1910, making it one of Switzerland’s oldest private boarding schools and one of the most scenic given its stunning setting in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
Overview:
Over 40 nationalities between the ages of 11 and 18 are welcomed in the Villars-sur-Ollon campus and encouraged on a daily basis to strive for excellence.
Academics:
The academic curriculum is provided in French and English. Students opting for the first must sit the Diplôme National du Brevet and the French Baccalaureate while students going for the latter take the IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate.
Careers and university guidance is provided for students in the senior years with many pursuing higher education in the UK and USA. With a student to teacher ratio of 4:1, all students’ progress is closely monitored to ensure they reach their full potential.

Extracurricular activities:
From outdoor challenges, to expeditions to Mount Kilimanjaro, they learn invaluable life skills that help them overcome the pressure and difficulties found in everyday life.
Students are also encouraged to play sports – the school has its own outdoor pool – and join clubs – with more than 40 clubs offered, including yoga, cooking, bird watching, or choir.
Boarding:
A home away from home boarding experience is provided with students grouped in houses according to age and gender. Younger students have a dedicated junior section while older students are accommodated in the main building or in chalets near the school grounds. All the houses are supervised by resident staff.
