Location:
Conveniently located in Florissant – a short drive away from the city centre – Lycée Töpffer is one of the best francophone schools in Geneva for boys and girls between 9 and 18 years old.
Overview:
Since its foundation in 1954, the school’s philosophy has been centred on making sure its students enjoy life in and out of the classroom. This is achieved by highly qualified teachers who provide tailored supervision that meets the needs of every child intellectually, emotionally, and socially, as well as by a friendly environment where students feel free to express themselves.
With up to 25 nationalities admitted per year, the school’s 220 students also enjoy an inspiring multicultural atmosphere that fosters their academic curriculum on a daily basis until their graduation.
Academics:
This amazing school teaches the French curriculum and is one of the best institutes in the field of sciences and languages. It follows the official Genevan school programmes up to the end of obligatory schooling. Then it offers the official French school programmes until the baccalaureate (high school diploma).
Extracurricular Activities:
Art courses are also offered as an option: fine arts, art History, drama. International culture plays a significant role in Geneva, and Lycée Töpffer takes full advantage of all the offered possibilities: meetings, trips, exhibitions, plays, concerts, and cinema.
Each year, Lycée Topffer welcomes about thirty young boarding boys and girls in a family and cosmopolitan environment, conducive to studies. Everything is done to reconcile academic success and students’ personal development.
Summer Camp:
In July, Lycée Topffer organizes summer camps for French speakers and non-French speakers who want to improve their language knowledge (French, German, English, Italian and Spanish) and their mathematics skills, with fun holiday activities in the afternoon and in the evening for boarding pupils.
