Location
A structured, healthy and balanced environment in the heart of nature, with views of Lake Geneva and the Alps. Chantemerle is located in the commune of Blonay, close to Montreux, Lausanne and Geneva.
School Info
Chantemerle offers boarding (5 or 7 days) and day courses to around sixty students aged 5 to 18.
In today's fast-changing world, Chantemerle offers a place where children can decelerate, develop at their own pace, become autonomous and take responsibility. At Chantemerle, children learn the importance of punctuality, politeness and simple gestures that are essential and useful for life. Our students are reminded of the importance of simplicity and nature in their lives through manual activities and learning out in nature.
The management and educators are on hand 24/7 to ensure that life at Chantemerle runs smoothly. A school nurse is permanently present at the school to monitor the children's health. The intelligent and rigorous application of simple community rules contributes to the smooth running of the school and its harmony. The use of smartphones is limited and controlled, taking into account the school context and the age of the pupil.
Most of our rooms have a magnificent view of the lake and private en-suite bathrooms. After classes, students can take advantage of the numerous relaxation and leisure areas, the terrace and the natural outdoor spaces. Particular attention is paid to food. Carrying the 'Fourchette Verte' quality label, the school offers varied and balanced menus cooked 'just like at home' using local ingredients.
Our academic programme is complemented by a rich programme of sporting, artistic and natural activities designed to develop independence, self-confidence, perseverance and adaptability.
Living away from home offers invaluable opportunities for personal development. Most importantly, at Chantemerle, students learn to live together in a spirit of tolerance and respect. When they leave Chantemerle, our students carry into their adult lives the spirit of solidarity and strong sense of friendship that characterise our school.
