The prestigious boarding and day school educates pupils from diverse backgrounds. Everyday interactions with multicultural peers help students foster a strong sense of community and promote an international mindset among alumni.

As an independent school, Brillantmont has a crucial point of difference: an average class size of nine. These small groups give teachers more time to provide special attention to each child, resulting in elevated student morale and enhanced academic results.

Academics:

All students in Grades 8-9 study a wide range of subjects, covering core subjects like Mathematics, Science, and English plus Music, Art, STEAM and robotics.

In Grade 10, students can start to tailor their programme to the subjects they enjoy, taking ownership of their learning journey.

In the Grade 11-12 programme, students either study for the UK or US diploma.

Brillantmont is among a select few Swiss international schools that offer the challenging British  IGCSE & A Level programme. If you’d rather your child attend an American university, the school provides a sought-after US High School Graduation Diploma with SAT and IELTS as well.

Both programmes are taught exclusively in English, although most students study French throughout the Diploma as well. Because Lausanne is a French-speaking city, there’s ample opportunity to hone linguistic skills.

Extracurricular Activities:

Brillantmont School runs a multitude of sports activities to promote healthy living and foster long-lasting friendships. These compulsory programmes vary throughout the year to coincide with the seasons and make use of Switzerland’s world-famous natural terrain.

An array of extracurricular activities let students pursue their passions and enhance critical thinking skills. Some of the most popular after-class clubs include the Model United Nations, the Soup Kitchen, Young Enterprise, Habitat for Humanity, and Engineering. Other options span everything from music to art, cooking, and debating.

The school runs ski trips and vacations to exciting European destinations during weekends and holidays.
