The beautiful outdoors environment allows girls the opportunity to challenge themselves through a wide variety of outdoor activities including hiking, snowsports, watersports and cycling. Housed in a former art déco luxury hotel, Surval Montreux boasts a beautiful wraparound terrace overlooking Lake Léman and Château de Chillon, large balconies accessible from the bedrooms and private tennis courts.

Overview

Surval Montreux is a unique international full boarding school in Switzerland for girls aged 12-19 offering a bespoke and flexible curriculum, which includes the American High School Program and Advanced Placements, international IGCSE and A Level curriculum and a broad, balanced Foundation programme in Grade 8, developed to build strong foundations in language, core subjects and independent study skills to set girls up for success in their studies in Grade 9 and beyond, whether they are embarking on the Surval High School Diploma programme or on UK qualifications.

Surval Montreux prides itself on offering further educational opportunities including a unique pre-university finishing-style programme, the Surval Swiss Gap Experience, as well as a Winter Term programme and a very successful Surval Summer Camp.

With an average of 10 students per class, and often fewer, the Surval community of 60 girls offers each student a welcoming home away from home alongside the opportunity to receive the support she needs to achieve her best, to grow in confidence and to feel empowered to find her true voice, free from any stereotypes and preconceptions.

Academics

Surval offers broad and flexible curriculum course options covering US (American High School Diploma and Advanced Placements) and UK (iGCSE and A Level) programmes to ensure each student’s programme is tailored to their needs and goals beyond school and keeps options open for further study in the UK, US and university destinations around the world.

Several Surval students have continued their further education in the fields of Business Management, Law, and International Relations, and have been accepted at some of the world’s best universities in Switzerland, as well as Russell Group, QS Top Universities and Forbes’ Best Colleges in the United Kingdom, Latin America and the United States of America.
