Louisenlund has been educating pupils from all over the globe for 70 years. World-renowned educator Dr Kurt Hahn played a pivotal role in founding the historical school.
The day and boarding school has multiple branches to educate students of varying ages. The Primary School accepts little ones from Years 1 – 4, while the Grammar School teaches children from Years 5 until 12 through its Junior, Middle, and Upper schools. The IB Diploma Programme starts training students for exams from Grade 10.
The school runs small classes to optimise teacher-student time.

Academics:
Catering to students from Year 1 until Year 5, the Primary School programme promotes independent, individualised learning. Research and discovery form the foundations of Kurt Hahn’s STEM-focused approach. The activity-orientated, experience-based curriculum keeps students thoroughly engaged.
The Grammar School educates Junior and Middle School students from Years 5 to 9. Mathematics, English and German comprise a significant portion of the curriculum, assessed by presentations, personal projects, and exams.
Upon transitioning into the Upper School in Year 9, students split off into four academic profiles: Language, Science and Ecology, Social Sciences, Aesthetic – Arts.
Louisenlund runs the only IB Diploma Programme in the region. From Year 10 onwards, participants study towards the prestigious IB Diploma. This widely-recognised accreditation opens the doors to thousands of prestigious universities across the globe.
