Chalet Grumer Suites & Spa rests atop the Renon mountain plateau, a natural haven rising 1,100 meters above sea level.
The Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, hugs Chalet Grumer and offers a breathtaking view of the mountains.
Chalet Grumer is accessible via a 30-minute drive or also by cable car in a 10 minutes ride to Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol located at the foot of the plateau.
The ski areas of picturesque South Tyrol can be reached by helicopter in 5-10 minutes flight from the hotel’s private helicopter landing platform.
Chalet Grumer has five cozy suites.
These rooms are spacious, ranging from 45 to 75 square meters in area, and can accommodate 14 guests in total.
The furnishings inside are made of local natural materials and come in warm earth colors to give the rooms a countryside ambiance.
The panoramic windows perfectly frame the scenery surrounding the hotel.
Guests can also sit back and relax at the rooms’ balconies, gardens, and private Jacuzzis.
The in-house spa Grumer’s Grooming is the highlight of Chalet Grumer. Guests can rejuvenate in the three saunas available: the bio-sauna, the Finnish sauna, and the steam room.
The spa also features a Dolomite stone fountain that always runs fresh with waters straight from the private mountain spring.
Guests can also choose the indoor pool with a hydro-flow system and loosen up on the integrated massage jets.
Workout buffs, meanwhile, can maintain their routine at the gym, which boasts modern fitness equipment.
There is also a relaxation room for guests who want a moment of quiet and seclusion and a vitality bar for those who want to try healthy teas and juices.
You can also relax in a heated outdoor hot tub with the magnificent views of the Dolomites.
The hotel restaurant Grumer’s Gourmet will feast you with authentic Italian cuisine, local South Tyrolean dishes, and international gourmet meals.
It presents guests with a five-course menu or à la carte selection, and the chef frequents the village markets in the area so that he can prepare traditional Mediterranean dishes with local products. Of course, these culinary specialties come with fine wines that Italy is known for.
Philip and Alexandra Benincà host Chalet Grumer.
After 30 years of hard work, the exclusive resort was finally opened, offering visitors a tranquil escape from the hectic city life.
The newly refurbished Chalet Grumer extensively uses traditional decors, wood accents, and warm colors to create an atmosphere that evokes feelings of nostalgia.
