OCTOLA Private Wilderness consists of a purpose-built ten-bedroom luxury lodge and a two-bedroom villa in Lapland, boasting a secluded location miles from the nearest town.

Aside from savouring the serenity of the sequestered space, there’s a wide range of thrilling activities to keep guests entertained. A dedicated wilderness guide can arrange downhill skiing, husky sledding trips, horseback riding, reindeer sledding, snowshoe excursions, Northern Lights sightseeing, and any other winter activity imaginable.

But also in summer Lapland is a wonderful destination for escapes into nature. It is the best time to watch reindeer calves, to catch fish or go on a sunrise hike. A river boat and survival camps are also here to try if you would like to.

The nearest airport is in Rovaniemi, from where road transfers take 20 minutes. If guests prefer, reception can arrange a private helicopter or snowmobile transfer to whisk you to the property in minutes.

A blend of old and new, OCTOLA Private Wilderness combines traditional Sámi log cabin aesthetics with ultramodern amenities. Total privacy and seclusion are guaranteed in either of the accommodations, where architectural form and function flow in unison with dazzling effect. The lodge and the villa were constructed in a distinct Lapp ’laavu’ design, an architectural style intended to shelter wandering nomads.

However, this is more than just a place to enjoy the tranquillity – it’s a sumptuous sanctuary where you can achieve an intimate connection with the Arctic Circle. Wander through the pine forests at night or pop by the reindeer enclosure to get an authentic taste of this unique part of the world.

Octola Lodge has 10 en-suite bedrooms organized in two wings. It can accommodate up to 30 guests with possibility of adding one extra bed in each bedroom.

Octola Villa has 1 Master bedroom with en-suite-bathroom, sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi. Together with another en-suite bedroom it can accommodate 4 adults and 4 children.

You can book the entire property with Octola Lodge and Octola Villa, or you can book the lodge, or villa separately.

A team of dedicated chefs created an exquisite eight-course North Pole menu that pays homage to hearty Arctic cuisine. Sourced from local ingredients wherever possible, the menu follows OCTOLA’s 8 Arctic Seasons, an award-winning gourmet cookbook. However, the cuisine is tailor-made for each guest.

Octola Villa offers a steamy sauna and a bubbling Jacuzzi.

To warm up on a frigid Arctic night, the private wilderness will boast a splendid Nordic-style spa. OCTOLA private spa will be completed by December 2021 and it will include beauty room, massage room, swimming pool, cold pool, sauna with fireplace area and yoga / stretching area.
